  • Let's Code MS DOS: 0x32 VGA Split Screen

    A couple of games back in the 1990s utilised the VGA split screen functionality to enable things that were otherwise only possible on more capable machines, like the Amiga. The VGA split screen allowed games such as Jazz Jackrabbit or Pinball Fantasies to display a static status bar at the bottom of the screen, while the rest of the screen was smoothly scrolling in two or more directions. In this video I will show how this is possible, and which VGA registers to program with the appropriate values.

  • 4. Seminar zu Inklusion und Informatikunterricht

    Achtung: Die Ton- und Videoqualität ist wegen einiger Probleme bei der Aufnahme mitunter sehr schlecht. Wir möchten uns hierfür ausdrücklich entschuldigen. Zu Dokumentationszwecken haben wir uns dennoch dazu entschieden, den Mitschnitt zu veröffentlichen. Die Untertitelung ist entsprechend der Audioqualität ebenfalls nicht immer exakt.     Informatik ist ein wichtiger und notwendiger Bestandteil der allgemeinen Bildung. Inklusion ist eine viel diskutierte Aufgabe innerhalb von Bildungskontexten. Durch verpflichtende Anteile von Informatik in der Grundschule und der Sekundarstufe I gewinnt Inklusion als Gestaltungsaufgabe innerhalb des Fachs Informatik zunehmend an Bedeutung.

    Zugleich ist Inklusion auch im Kontext von (informatikbezogener) Forschung und Lehre wichtig, um Teilhabe an wissenschaftlichen Prozessen sowie akademischer Ausbildung zu ermöglichen und entsprechende Perspektiven zu fördern.

    Im Rahmen des jährlich stattfindenden Seminars zur Didaktik der Informatik gestalten wir daher eine Themensitzung. In diesem Jahr wird die Sitzung um die Perspektive auf die Forschung erweitert. Um die Sitzung fach- und sachkundig durchführen zu können, erhalten wir Unterstützung.

    Eingeladene Gäste

    • Das Institut für inklusive Bildung der Universität Kiel präsentiert am Vormittag Einblicke in die inklusive Lehre. Am Nachmittag liegt der Schwerpunkt dagegen auf dem Austausch zur inklusiven Forschung und gemeinsamen Perspektiven: »Teilhabe vorprogrammiert – Unterricht, Hochschul-Lehre und Forschung inklusiv gestalten«
    • Dr. Silvia Joachim (Didaktik der Informatik, Universität Würzburg) präsentiert in einem Workshop inklusive unplugged Materialien für den Einsatz im Informatikunterricht: »Künstliche Intelligenz mit inklusivem Material vermitteln«
    • Nils Prior (Didaktik der Informatik, Universität Oldenburg) berichtet von seiner Forschung im Kontext Inklusion und Informatikunterricht und stellt dabei insbesondere die Entwicklung von inklusiven Materialien für den Informatikunterricht vor: »Barrieren differenziert abbauen - Wege zu einem inklusiven Informatikunterricht«
