Another adding machine packed it in at work - let's see if we can bring it back to life.
Afterword: The JB Weld failed, in a different fashion - the gear stayed on, but the motor shaft would slip within the gear when the printer was under heavy load (ie. printing a long number). I re-did it with Gorilla glue, and it is still working after a stress test.
I'm getting rid of this VCR. Get in touch with me if you want it for parts or restoration, for the cost of shipping from Canada. It has no pinch roller.
