Welcome to Day 1 of my 2025 Jazz Advent Calendar. To kick off this series, I’m starting with one of the most beloved standards in the repertoire, "Autumn Leaves." There is no better way to bridge the seasons than with this melody.

While music brings us comfort, we cannot ignore the reality of the world around us this holiday season. This year, I am using this platform to ask for your solidarity.

Please consider donating to the Hind Rajab Foundation. They are doing crucial work fighting for justice and accountability regarding the crimes committed by Israel in Palestine.

This season of giving should also be a season of action.

Apparently IPC went defunct because they "made overpriced crap and had bad customer service". That's what people told me after my "What are iPC computers?" video that was mostly about that Mitsubishi CRT dying in real time. Also, lol @ my distinction of power control between AT computers and ATX/ACPI computers. I had some concept of it being an actual power switch that controlled line voltage, but didn't fully understand it, or logical soft power switches actually just pulled PS_ON on the motherboard low to signal the power supply to start. Yeah, this video was me pretending to be more knowledgeable than I really was at the time.

Man it's been a while since we've played some Pokemon. COME WITH ME...

Aaaachtung!

Aber wer will schon Herdenschutzhunde adoptieren?

The video that I made during the replacement of our old furnace that had the sheer audacity to call it quits in -20 degree Celsius weather. I was 26 at the time.

The video I made after I acquired my Dell Latitude C600. I previously had a Dell Latitude D505 that I used quite heavily, but was talked into selling it to someone else. I quickly found this one to take its place. I still have this laptop, it still works fine. I was 18 at the time I made this video.

My computer collection as of July 11, 2012. I think it was around 10 at this time. Now, it's over 70! If I had kept every single machine I ever acquired, I would have close to (if not) 100 machines.

A historical computer of mine. Also shows the sudden failure of the Mitsubishi CRT monitor I also had. I acquired this sometime after the Compaq Presario 2200, and it has been recycled (that probably happened well over 10 years ago). It didn't need to be recycled, but that's what happened. I was 14 at the time of making this video.
