Klar, aktuell wird in den Strohbetten im Schweineland ganz schön viel gedöst, geschlafen und gekuschelt. Aber das ist natürlich kein Argument, den Schweinen die Wahl zu nehmen, auch jederzeit raus zu können, wenn ihnen der Sinn danach steht.

Im Land der Tiere können die geretteten Schweine so selbstbestimmt wie möglich leben. Neben dem Frühstück und Abendessen, wo natürlich alle immer dabei sind, sorgen wir mittags auch für "Unterhaltungsprogramm": verteilen Gemüse, Obst und Krauleinheiten. Wer wo teilnimmt, z.B. beim raus gehen, im Wald unterwegs sein oder unter dem Schnee wühlen, das entscheiden die Schweine selbst. Ihr gutes Recht!

(vessels)2 is a 35-minute work exploring the sampler as both container and vessel.The piece is performed by Sistro Duo on vssl, a perceptual sampler and granular synthesizer I designed, programmed, and built over three years.

vssl uses machine learning and auditive descriptors to analyze and organize sounds by their sonic characteristics (brightness, hardness, harmonicity) rather than filenames, enabling intuitive real-time navigation through sample libraries.

The piece questions ideas about authenticity and constraint: Can an instrument limited by its input be performed organically? Can something new emerge from a finite dataset?

Lecodibra is part of the Spectrales series, the birth of a mer and the ancestors welcoming them.

My connection to ancestors is an evolving journey. I lost that connection when it was imposed on me as a rigid expectation, a mask of normative visions that further marginalized me. In response, I created these ancestors of the depths who resonate with the most intimate, linear aspects of my being. My artistic process involves excavating digital layers to uncover beings with whom I can connect, beings brought forth by black queer emotions across time.

These beings emerge from traumas, resistances, joys, colonizations, slaveries, adoptions, and explorations—black beings traversing streams, seas, glaciers, droplets, and lakes, from abyssal oceans to the atomic cells of our bodies. Sexuality as a site of shapeshifting led me to the ocean, and the creation process became the method that made the most sense in honoring those ancestors. Lecodibra shows one of these souls in their natural state, adapting to shifts in water, digesting environmental changes, and reflecting individual and collective emotions.
