Metabolic syndrome affects millions of people, and it pushes up the risk of both heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Theobromine is a natural compound related to caffeine, and you'll find it in yerba mate and in cacao.

In a randomized controlled trial, overweight and obese adults took theobromine for 12 weeks. By the end, their waists got smaller, which matters because belly fat is one of the key markers of metabolic syndrome. Their HDL, the good cholesterol, went up, and the ratio of LDL to HDL came down.

That's a pretty big deal for your heart. If you like a warm cup of tea, plain yerba mate with no sugar is an easy one to try, and it fits right in with real food and low carb eating.

Have you ever tried yerba mate? I'd love to hear what you thought of it.

Let's get healthy together.

Josh Sigurdson reports on the Red Baron employee who has gone viral after snapping on a young prankster at a grocery store as he tried to stock shelves.

"Walt Z" out of Michigan was stocking shelves at night as a prankster filmed him and pretended to steal money from him using his phone, with the phone beeping as if a payment had been made.

The employee wasn't having it. He walked to the counter. The prankster continued to mock him as he walked towards the door. This led to the employee snapping. He mentioned that he had 4 kids at home that he can't even put to bed because he's out late stocking shelves and has 10 more early the next morning. He can't afford his mortgage and the prankster was likely making money off of his stunt.

Millions have spoken out since the video went viral today pointing out they're going through the same situation financially and how they relate to the man.

A GoFundMe campaign was created, raising at this point nearly $300,000 for the employee.

The reason we want to talk about this viral video is because it's an important insight into most of America and to be clear most of the western world right now. People can't afford basics and while President Trump claims there is "no affordability crisis" and that he "doesn't think at all" about the financial situation of Americans and that there is "the lowest poverty rate ever" in the United States, we all know this is simply nonsense.

And while Trump, Obama, Biden and the rest have all contributed to hurting the economy, it's not even a political thing. The Federal Reserve has lost control, the dollar is losing its value at a shocking rate, debt has skyrocketed and they're attempting to bring in a new digital system as a replacement. People have had enough and it would be shocking if we don't see an uprising over this in the near future.
