    Le commissaire divisionnaire BILLON de la Police Judiciaire est réveillé en pleine nuit par l'appel téléphonique d'une jeune femme qui a composé un numéro erroné. Sans connaître la véritable identité de son interlocuteur, elle lui fait part de ses soupçons concernant son mari Germain et sa demie sœur Monique, qui chercheraient à l'empoisonner. Elle rappellera à plusieurs reprises, en exigeant de conserver l'anonymat, puis les appels cesseront. Six mois plus tard le procureur de la République confie au commissaire BILLON, la plainte d'une certaine Monique Vincent, qui accuse son beau frère Germain Gaston d'avoir empoisonné sa demie sœur Laurence... Avec Jacques Morel et Laurence Weber.

  • Alberta Country Roads: First Snow, Dreamy Music, Quiet Drive

    I'm not a fan of having to drive to go to work/shop everything! But the views here are beautiful all year, onjly thing I like about the commute..lol Looking extra magical during our first snowfall of the year. No talking, I added some gentle, dreamy music, details below.

    I know what you're thinking, but seriously, October 10-11 is actually late for our first snow- it would be early for lasting snow, but for a first taste of the season, it's late for us here in western Alberta, Canada! It fell Saturday/Sunday and all melted over the next few days, most of it by Sunday afternoon, in fact, though there were patches in some shady spots that took longer. We've since had some more light flurries and maybe something more significant again tomorrow (Oct 27)- this one could last longer as temps are quite a bit lower now...

    We are now approaching the end of the Time of Spirits, the season between Autumn Equinox and the next cross-quarter day (somewhere around the beginning of November, like All Hallows Eve, Samhain etc, halfway to Winter Solstice) when the old (Latvian/Baltic) celebrates the nearness of the spirit world, remembering and welcoming lost loved ones. We will next enter the Time of Ice, as winter settles in and the short days arrive.

    The Trial (French: Le Procès) is a 1962 drama film written and directed by Orson Welles, based on the 1925 posthumously published novel of the same name by Franz Kafka. Welles stated immediately after completing the film: "The Trial is the best film I have ever made". The film begins with Welles narrating Kafka's parable "Before the Law" to pinscreen scenes created by the artists Alexandre Alexeieff and Claire Parker.

    Anthony Perkins stars as Josef K., a bureaucrat who is accused of a never-specified crime, and Jeanne Moreau, Romy Schneider and Elsa Martinelli play women who become involved in various ways in Josef's trial and life. Welles plays the Advocate, Josef's lawyer and the film's principal antagonist.
