The Master's Station: BEST TATTOO OF SHOW 2018

A glimpse into the BasBaz darkness.

This time-lapse documents the creation of the "Best of Show" trophy for the Sanremo Tattoo Convention (Italy), Dec 14-16, 2018. It is the counterpart to the "Best Nerd" work, and like that one, it was among the last trophies I built before my illness.

The display case is entirely handmade from wood and glass, measuring 40cm wide, 35cm deep, and 35cm high. Inside sits a classic tattoo setup with a transformer, cables, and machine. A unique feature is the ink bottle suspended in the air by the machine's cable, appearing to pour ink into the cups. The colors are those of the Italian flag, mirrored by the stained latex gloves hanging behind. This prize was donated to the best tattoo artist of the show.
It took almost two months to build alongside its counterpart, "Best Nerd of show".

This piece is deeply personal: it was one of the last trophies I made before falling ill and ending my hobby of building creative convention trophies.

❓ Question for the tattooed among us:

There is always a debate about pain levels. Do you believe color tattoos hurt more than black and grey work? And be honest: who absolutely hates getting highlights? We all know they are the most painful part, usually done right at the end of the work when you're already exhausted!

    1. Masse delle particelle (12 parametri):
    ◦ 6 quark: up, down, charm, strange, top, bottom
    ◦ 6 leptoni: elettrone, muone, tau, e i tre neutrini

Showcasing some of my work done on an iPad Pro M2 using Procreate.

The Silent Agony of 24/7 Chronic Pain: PainSyndrome

A glimpse into the BasBaz darkness.
This time-lapse captures the creation of 'PainSyndrome'. It portrays a close-up of a girl's face, incomplete and emerging from behind a wall. Her eyes are closed or cast down, as if afraid to look forward or even around her. Chronic pain accompanies her relentlessly, 24/7 without end, until the body screams and everything begins to bleed... but no one will ever see it, because this pain is hers alone.

❓ Question for the geeks among us:

I use this #iPadPro M2 exclusively for drawing in Procreate, and that's it. I'd like to use the tablet for other things too, but I can't stand #iPadOS. Years ago, I had an iPhone and I loved it, but on the iPad, I just hate it.

I've been looking for a way to install Linux via a virtual machine (#VM). I found a tutorial on how to install it using #UTM, but once I tried it, I discovered that it only works on older #iPad models. Any tips on how I can put Linux on my iPad while keeping iOS/iPadOS for Procreate?
