Do you want to help with translating information about and for Free Software? Are you interested in supporting the cause of software freedom? Or do you just want to spread the word for Free Software in your native language?
Then we would be happy to welcome you to the FSFE's translator team (https://fsfe.org/contribute/translators/). In this video we quickly go through the translation process. For more information visit: https://fsfe.org/contribute/translators/
Go to https://status.fsfe.org/translations/
Navigate to your native language and search for a file you want to translate in Priority 1 or 3
Click on the number of the column "Original version" to open the webpreview link
On the webpreview page click on "Proofread/Translate"
Choose Translate and the language into which you want to translate.
If your native language is available you can now choose to create an automatic translation by clicking on "Automatically translate".
You can now edit the text by clicking on the text. A small window will pop-up below and show you the original content.
Once you are happy with your translation share it with the translators team
You can do so by right clicking on the pad number and copying the link to the pad.
Or you can download the translated xhtml file by clicking on "Export X[HT]ML"
Share it with the translators team: translators (at) lists.fsfe.org
Thank you so much for your effort in spreading the word about Free Software and to help further the cause of software freedom. Your contribution is highly appreciated.
