On 19th November 1915, poet and musician Joe Hill was executed by a firing squad in Utah, United States. Joe Hill was a Wobblie, a member of the IWW, Industrial Workers of the World, created in Chicago in 1905 by sectors too marginal and radical to be content with reformism of the official American union, which represented white, male, skilled workers.
