Moving through minimal techno, dark techno, dub techno, acid textures, deep grooves, and tech house influences, the mix showcases the different sides of Paul Begge’s production sound.

Unlike a conventional DJ mix featuring numerous producers, every track in this episode has a direct connection to Paul Begge. Rather than simply including one or two original productions in his guest mix, Paul uses the entire session to explore his catalog through solo tracks, collaborations, vocal productions, and remix work.

Paul Begge was born in Moscow in 1989. His interest in music developed around 2004 through artists including Linkin Park and Rammstein. In 2005, an open-air event introduced him to club-oriented sounds such as hard trance and hard house, leading him deeper into electronic music and international radio shows.

Early electronic influences included Sander van Doorn, Marcel Woods, and Deadmau5. Paul began learning music-production software and creating his own tracks in 2007. As his sound developed, he gravitated toward minimal and techno, drawing inspiration from artists including Max Cooper, Martin Eyerer, Piemont, Gui Boratto, and Boris Brejcha.

His experimentation eventually produced Strange Signals, combining techno and minimal elements, followed by Brain Overload in early 2010. Both tracks were signed to German label Sound Klekse and released in June 2010.

In January 2011, Paul launched the two-hour Groovebegg radio show on Cuebase FM in Hamburg, focusing on techno and minimal music from emerging and established producers.

During this period, Begge's productions moved between deep and dubby techno, minimal tech, darker driving techno, and tech house. His music received DJ support and chart exposure from artists including Dave The Drummer, Vegim, Vincenn, Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Sebastian Groth, Markus Schulz, Electrorites, Israel Toledo, and Andy Mart.
