Monday November 4th Season 4 kicks off with a great interview with the author of The House on Hurley Pond Road.
When Patricia Fitzgerald and her husband Barry purchased their first home on a quiet back road just off the Jersey shore, in 1971, they had no idea that they and their young son and daughter were embarking on an eight year nightmare with residual effects that last to this day.
Within a few days of moving in, Darren and his older sister Coreen began to notice that something wasn’t quite right with their new residence. First came the doors that would mysteriously open and close along with lights that would turn themselves on and off by no physical means. Then came the threatening writing on the walls which eventually escalated into all-out physical attacks directed at members of the Fitzgerald family as well as anyone who attempted to enter the house.
This book is based on the true story of how one young girl’s dream home would eventually become an older woman’s nightmare. It also delves into the tragic history of the residence where death and suicides have affected nearly every family that has occupied it. Join us as the author attempts to uncover the heartbreaking secrets that lie within “The House on Hurley Pond Road.”
