Rev. Kent Compton continues our mini-series on Isaiah 55. This week we look at the last portion of the chapter, and see how the redemptive effects of God's word and the gospel. It goes out and accomplishes that which he wills. It causes the Christian to be fruitful, to be led out in peace and joy, and ultimately will affect all of creation to God's glory and praise.

Rev. Kent Compton takes a break from our series in 1 Corinthians to focus on the Isaiah 55. This morning we look at Chapter 55, and what it means to seek the Lord, and the motivations He gives for us to seek Him.

This morning, Rev. Dr. Peter Sanlon brings the Word of God to us this morning. Expositing from Ephesians 3:14-21, he expounds on the love of Christ, how it cannot be learned from a book, but must be given by God, and experienced through fellowship with the saints. We see how the Christ lavishes upon us his grace and his love which passes all understanding.

Rev. Kent Compton continues our series 1st Corinthians. Today we focus on the Lord's supper and it's institution. We see how is the gospel displayed in physical form, and that every time we partake of the bread and of the cup, we are to remember the Lord. Similar to the Passover, we are to see Christ's sacrifice and how it pays for our redemption, and how it ought to spur us to greater devotion and love towards God and towards His people.

Rev. Kent Compton continues our series on 1st Corinthians. Today we look at Chapter 11, focusing on Paul's directives for head coverings. We see that the actual practice of head coverings is secondary to the biblical principle of creation design. The Corinthians church was at risk of erasing gender differences, and removing any distinction between male and female. The gospel restores the original created design from Genesis, aligning authority and headship within the home and church to properly reflect the divine order. We see that a wife's submission to her husband does not imply inferiority; instead, it honors the complementary relationship between men and women and beautifully models the way Jesus Christ willfully submitted to God the Father. Ultimately, believers are urged to look to the Word of God rather than society to define the inherent dignity, roles, and boundaries of men and women.

In light of observing the Lord's Supper this morning, Rev. Kent Compton expounds on the beautiful, gospel rich passage of 2 Samuel Chapter 9. David's Covenant love towards Jonathan and his offspring is shown towards Mephibosheth. David seeks him out, and brings him into his own house to eat at his table. Although Mephibosheth was lame in both his feet, and could offer no contribution to the kingdom, David was pleased to show his love towards him because of Jonathan. This is a beautiful picture of the gospel, where God freely shows his love towards us, and adopts us as children, to sit and dine with him, all because of God's covenant love towards Jesus.

Rev. Kent Compton continues our series in 2nd Chronicles. We see the backsliding of the people of Judah under the reign of Rehoboam. We see the humbling of the people and God's mercy in relenting judgement. This is a beautiful illustration of the love of God and his willingness to forgive those who humbly seek Him.

Compton demonstrates that glorifying God is not reserved solely for high-profile actions, but is primarily achieved through ordinary, daily activities like. Ultimately, this principle extends to every facet of existence, including work, rest, and even suffering, which provides a profound opportunity to testify to the sufficiency of Christ.

Dr. Rev. Jack Whytock brings us the word this Father's Day Sunday. Expounding on the parable of the prodigal son found in Luke 15, we see two central themes: The Father's forgiving way and the Father's pursuing way. We see through this passage, the deep love the Father has towards us.

Rev. Kent Compton continues our series in 1 Corinthinans. Using the history of the ancient Israelites, the Apostle Paul warns the church in Corinth, and modern believers, against relying solely on outward spiritual privileges like baptism or the Lord's Supper or any other outward religious expression. He emphasizes that despite experiencing miraculous blessings and the presence of Christ, most of the Israelites were overthrown in the wilderness because they lacked an inward heart transformation. Rev. Compton highlights how the Israelites fell into destructive sins such as idolatry, sexual immorality, and testing God, which are the same timeless dangers that threaten professing Christians today. Ultimately, he urges us to examine our own hearts for a true, life-altering faith that moves past mere mechanics and brings genuine love, forgiveness, and victory over the fear of death.
