Episode 11 - Frightland (Middletown, DE)www.frightland.com@frightland
Situated in the heart of Middletown, Delaware, Frightland immerses you in the chilling experience unveiling EIGHT unique and spine-tingling attractions. Recognized as one of the Top 10 Scariest Haunted Attractions in the entire nation by Travel Channel, Forbes, and Huffington Post, experience the mile-long Haunted Hayride, accompanied by four indoor haunted houses and a plethora of additional terrifying surprises - all under the watchful eye of Dr. Idalia.
Since Dr. Idalia’s death, many of his escaped experiments took to living in the woods away from the manor where they could stay under the radar. Eventually, others found refuge in the vast darkness of the property. Come face to face with some of these dark and dangerous souls… I’m sure they WON’T be happy to see you!
It was in the Haunted Barn that Dr Idalia found his daughter Isabella had committed suicide when he discovered her lifeless body hanging from a rope tied to the rafters. Since then, the barn has been a haven for spirits, demons and entities that have refused to move on. From the ghosts of former patients to lost souls who refuse to leave the property, the Haunted Barn is not a place for the sensitive or weak willed.
Recently uncovered by the staff of Frightland, the Attic above the Barn was Isabella’s personal playground. After her suicide, The Doctor locked up the attic and never again stepped inside. In fact, no one has stepped foot in the attic again until the Frightland staff recently gained access. To this day, you can still hear the laughs – and screams – of Isabella as they echo through the halls of the attic.
Dr Thaddeus Idalia was a well-respected doctor in the small Delaware town. That is, until he discovered his daughter’s lifeless body hanging in his own barn nearby. The loss drove him to insanity.
Refusing to leave the property, he confined himself to the Manor where he began conducting unspeakable experiments on both human and animal subjects. His intent? To bring the dead back to life. Barely keeping them alive, many eventually escaped on to the property, while others remained in the house. The doctor, it seems, is still roaming the halls looking for his next experiment.
If you’re looking for a good scare, you won’t be disappointed. And, if you have any phobias of your own - you may want to avoid Fear - not the feeling of fear, but the building wear the Doctor conducted fear experiments on his patients… Doctor Idalia left no fear untested, and the experiments…. Well, they seem to continue.
