In this episode of Pencils Down, we welcome Sara Zewde from Studio Zewde, a firm practicing landscape design, urban design, and public art. Sara's designs weave narratives, culture, and ecology into vibrant spaces that tell powerful stories.
Sara is visiting Columbus to discuss her studio's project,
Echoes of the Hill completed for this year's Exhibit Columbus.
Studio Zewde's installation at Mill Race Park celebrates its 30th anniversary by weaving local history and community favorites into a new public gathering space. Highlighting connections to past indigenous cultures and offering a platform for future events, the installation echoes the park's iconic hill and frames perspectives on the land's history and potential.
We're excited for you join us as we discuss Landscape Architecture and it's roll in the remembering the past and embracing our future.
