Penguins defenseman Kris Letang has undergone successful heart surgery. The team's announcement says the procedure closed a small hole in Letang's heart, performed at UPMC Presby by Dr. Conrad Smith. The expected recovery time is four to six weeks. In 2022, Letang returned to practice with the Pens just 10 days after having the second stroke of his career. The first was in 2014.
