King David's story reveals a very human hero full of flaws, yet called “a man after God’s own heart.” He has long inspired people who wonder, as David often did, “How can I find lasting strength to face my challenges? Where is God when my life seems terrible? How do I handle my self-doubt? Why does God seem to be saying no to my dream?”

This Sunday, we dive into the second priority of G4 discipleship - GROW - and see what happens when, with God's grace and true grit, we prioritize spiritual growth.

On August 14, 1951 in a peninsula living room, 22 people prayed and asked God for a church that would “go to the people,” sharing the Gospel in a new and fresh way. They envisioned a church that would not settle to simply open its doors and wait for people to come to them.

For the next four weeks in a series we're calling Reboot, we'll look back and refresh our 2025 vision, and look forward in faith at what our city needs most from us: living into the mission to empower the generations to passionately follow Christ, one home at a time. Gary kicks it off this Sunday with the first of four priorities we are inviting every person who calls PCC home to live into: the priorities of Gather, Grow, Give, Go - what we're calling G4 Discipleship.

All summer we have been walking with Jesus as He intentionally came face to face with people who others had written off. We have watched Jesus cross racial boundaries, cross gender boundaries, cross political boundaries, cross socio-economic boundaries, and more to bring grace, truth and transformation. This Sunday we see how Jesus encountered the demon-possessed man in Luke 8:26-39.
