God’s love is different. It changes things. It’s active. It works. It risks. It fights for. God’s love does surprising and unexpected things when it gets a hold of our lives. We’re starting a new series all about what “Love Does” when it is understood and embraced by a community that follows Jesus. This Sunday, we’re starting where it all begins: hearts that overflow with Jesus’ extravagant love.

This Easter at PCC we celebrate the greatest comeback story ever told! May the hope of Easter, history’s greatest comeback, be our hope everyday as followers of Jesus.

Twelve weeks. One book. Countless stories. Since January, we've been journeying through the story of Nehemiah, the Israelites, the building of a wall, and the opposition they experienced, from without and from within. And we've seen over and over again how our God is the One who restores, rebuilds, and renews - and invites us into that journey with Him. What awareness have you gained through Nehemiah? How have you been inspired by others who are living this out? This Sunday, we gather for final lessons learned from the book of Nehemiah and reflect together as we remember Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.

With two weeks left in our Nehemiah series, we're coming to the end of the book and seeing that building a wall was easier than building hearts and a community. This week, we'll dive into Nehemiah chapter 13 and see more fully how we can guard against drifting from our heart relationship with Jesus: through God's power, not our will power.

What do you do when you come to an understanding that you're not where you want to be spiritually? This Sunday, we'll dive back into Nehemiah 9 and 10 and see how the people of God can experience revival in our own hearts, based not on our own empty will power, but on Jesus' resurrection power.

What do you do when you come to an understanding that you're not where you want to be spiritually? That's exactly where we find the community in Nehemiah chapter 8 - and their response was the first recorded revival in all the Bible. This weekend, we'll continue in our journey through Nehemiah and look at the indispensable elements of spiritual renewal.

A city is more than walls, buildings and houses; a city is people. And the people are Nehemiah’s focus in chapter 7, which we'll see as we continue in our series and jump into chapter 7 this week. And it's time for our annual PCC-CPC pulpit swap! Gary heads over to preach at Central Peninsula Church, while CPC's lead pastor Mark Mitchell will be speaking.

What's your section of the wall? What's the great project - the God project - that you're involved in? Do you ever face opposition or discouragement in seeing it through? As we continue in our series this week, we'll dive into Nehemiah 6 and see how Nehemiah resisted quitting when the going got tough.

Let's recap: The walls are down. Nehemiah goes to Jerusalem and organizes the people to begin rebuilding. But he finds that challenges come not only from outside the walls, but within. This week we look at what God has to show us through Nehemiah about rebuilding from the inside out.

As we seek to partner with God in restoration, we need each other! What's your section of the wall? How are you experiencing a "dislocated" heart for where you live, where you work, where you learn, where you play, and where He sends you? We're continuing in our series this weekend looking at the opposition that inevitably comes when we move into spiritual restoration, rebuilding, and renewal.
