What are the characteristics of being a true believer in Christ?

How do we respond to serious epidemics as Christians? What is God saying though this national and global calamity?

Cultural Marxism has captured the strongholds of our society. The Christ-rejecting world system in which we live is a spiritual Babylon from which the non-believer is called upon to flee with the utmost urgency.

Peter and John are arrested, having been preaching to a large crowd, and following on from the remarkable healing of a man who had been lame from birth, but who is now walking and even jumping for joy, creating a great general stir among the people. The healing miracle, however, is secondary to Peter’s main message that the religious leaders, as indeed do all men, need to be forgiven of their sins and brought into the kingdom of God through faith in Jesus Christ. There is salvation in none else, no other prophet, no other god, no other religion.

When God’s created order with regard to the two sexes is properly honoured, there results a beautiful harmony, whereby the woman complements the man and the man complements the woman, and both are far better off as a result. We must forget the atheistic feminism; we must forget the secularist mantras about equality. It is in the honouring of God’s created order, and in our recognising of His ordained gender distinctions, that both men and women will find their true fulfilment.

Who exactly is Jesus Christ? Was the child born in a stable at Bethlehem some 2000 years ago an important religious teacher (but no more)? Was he a social reformer, the best ever 'socialist' and campaigner for equality, the great forerunner of today's 'woke' liberalism? Was he an important prophet? Or was he someone infinitely greater than any of these?

Solomon tried to make art, culture, learning and aesthetic enjoyment the yardstick of his fulfilment, and when elevated to that role, they failed him miserably. If a man as wise as Solomon once was could be allured and led astray by the temporary enticements of this world, how much more must we be on our guard, seeking only the true wisdom which is from above.

How do we cope with so much evil in the world. We take comfort that then Lord Jesus Christ is the perfect and righteous Judge.
