Tisha Schuller welcomes Nile Garritson, portfolio manager at CalSTRS, to the Energy Thinks podcast. Tisha and Nile met when they co-spoke on “The Evolution of ESG” panel at the Barclay’s Energy CEO conference in September 2024.

CalSTRS is the California State Teachers' Retirement System. Founded in 1913, CalSTRS manages one of the largest pension funds in the U.S., serving over 1 million members, including teachers and education staff across California.

Nile has a long track record investing in the energy industry, with experience in fundamental research and a focus on low-carbon and net-zero solutions.

Nile received a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
