This started as a little 'spat' with a Twitterer. He insinuated my website pensiontransferhub.com
may be out to 'harvest' LCF bondholder details. He questioned my legitimacy because of contact details, FCA authorisation and regulation.
I requested his motivations He's not an LCF bondholder. Is he out to 'self-publicise?' Or genuinely acting in the 'best interests' of those impacted?
This Podcast is directed at him but the information within it is useful to any investor into mini-bonds or other types of Unregulated Collective Investment Schemes (UCIS).
During the podcast I touch on regulation, the law, Facebook and Google advertising.
I emphasis my interest in this investment story from the perspective of regulation:
The demographics of the 11,300 or so investors
% above the age of 55
Value of investments and frequency
Prior knowledge and experience
Types of communications
Understanding of risks
Motivation to invest (better returns? inducement? greed? recommendation? advice?)
Level of education
This scam is one of many. I hope you enjoy and please leave a comment or engage in some way. Thank you.
