In this Pentecost Sunday sermon, we reflect on the feelings of unpreparedness that often accompany new responsibilities, likening it to the disciples' experience after Jesus' ascension. Despite witnessing Jesus' teachings and miracles, they were suddenly tasked with spreading Christianity worldwide.

However, Jesus assured them that they wouldn't be alone in this mission; the Holy Spirit would come to aid them. Their role was not to condemn but to witness what they had heard and seen.

Reflecting on the significance of Pentecost, we see it as the divine empowerment for a spiritual harvest, symbolized by the Old Testament feast of harvest. The Holy Spirit, represented by fire, rested not on select individuals but on all believers, empowering them for their mission.

Just as Bethlehem represented God with us and Calvary represented God for us, Pentecost signifies God's power within us. As believers, we are blessed to be a blessing, empowered by the Holy Spirit to spread the message of Jesus Christ to the world.
