We also discuss what we did not like about Madden 23' in hopes that the new updates and changes will make us pleased with this year's version. Also, Jace and I discuss our Super Bowl predictions and which teams we expect to show up in the playoffs for 2024.

Jay Ashlei stops by to discuss her 1st official book “Let Her Go”. Jay & Japiro discuss the good, bad, and ugly of being an independent writer. While Jay breaks down fan fiction for us we discover her knack for writing actually began as Poetic Justice played a huge part in her initial stages of writing. She began to craft Let Her Go in 2016.

While powering through multiple hardships, Jay found herself in 2018 determined to continue writing and working toward completion of her book by early 2021. With the determination to finally edit her first fictional work, Jay worked diligently to deliver as promised on January 1, 2021. I remember it like it was yesterday. She promised to get this done by her birthday and that is exactly how the story plays out.

VIP Gutter stops by Penthouse Talk to discuss his latest project 10 Times Over. Japiro helps Gutter dig deep on how he's been able to create such an extensive catalog while continuing to be overlooked by mainstream radio. With his 10th album since the name change from J-Child to VIP Gutter it is evident he does it all for the love!!!

K-Rich joins Japiro in his 3rd season of Penthouse Talk as a new co-host. K-Rich is not new to podcasting but new to Penthouse Talk. Japiro and K-Rich kick off this season with an edgy topic but never come off judgmental to the audience.

This week's episode explores body shaping, body shaming, and fitness preferences. Please do not be alarmed at our topic. In no way, shape or form should this episode should offend anyone. If anything, it should shed light and compare and contrast between the likes and dislikes we all have about our physical appearance whether it be male or female.

Japiro & 40 Seventeen aka Panama sit down to discuss their album Lost Chapters 2 which was released on August 6th, 2021. They both discuss their lives after M.E.P and their transition into adulthood. Japiro & Panama also breakdown each song from the album. 

Both individuals discuss their wins and losses during their time apart. They also speak on adding another project to their Lost Chapters series to complete the TRILOGY. Figuring out their place in the Hip-Hop world seems to be the number one theme in their conversation.

The year is ‘94! Imagine Jay-Z getting pulled over by the cops possibly doing some real jail time while Nas & Biggie are preparing to drop some of their best work of their careers. Puff attempted to sign Nas & Mobb Deep, B.I.G. felt Puff was taking too long with the deal money, and Russel Simmons passed on Nas at Def Jam. Fate would have it that Jay-Z and B.I.G. would become great friends as Nas & Hov would become frenemies.

In Episode 3, Icy Johnson and I discuss the longevity of Ready to Die vs Illmatic. Illmatic is critically acclaimed as arguably the best Hip-Hop album of all time. We cannot take that from Nas AT ALL!!! What we can do is asses how good Ready to Die matches up against Illmatic. We thought about Outkast & Raekwon’s first albums but it is unfair to compare their albums to Nas’ first album which only had one feature. 

This podcast is no knock to Illmatic. This podcast is not saying it Ready to Die was better. This podcast is saying both albums are the first display of work from both artists. Illmatic reached the plateau of the golden years of hip-hop which embodied Jazz, Boom-Bap, and Witty Lyricism while Puff wanted the East Coast back with the same sounds that built the West Coast. Using Funk with heavy baselines Puff found a way to create the backdrop of Bad Boy along with Easy Moe Bee.

We witnessed 2 systems of justice over the past year. BLM supporters were pepper sprayed and tear-gassed while Trumplicans/Maga Hat wearers were offered the "Red Carpet" treatment into Capital Hill. Wednesday must have been wear your badge to D.C. day.  ONLY 11 MORE DAYS UNTIL THE OLIVE GARDEN & HOLIDAY INN CLOSE FOR GOOD!!! America will be great again, as soon as "45" is out of office.

2021 could be considered as the worst year most of us who were born in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s ever experienced. Not being outside was different. Being told what we can and cannot do was different. Life in 2020 was different. We all should be thankful we made it!!! Welcome to the season 2 opener, “Year of the Asterisk*”

During part 2, Reddz speaks on burning out early and pacing yourself along the way during events which ultimately leads us to practicing poise and patience throughout our careers and business paths.
