November 09, 2020 POST ELECTION SPECIAL--AGREE IN THIS (S4 E5) Revelation 13
When Christians cannot agree, we can be certain that the dragon has entered the room. Agree in this. Revelation 1:1 "The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants the things that must soon take place." The message of this post election special is this: You will see through this when you fall out of love with this world and you fall into love with Christ. Why are people AFRAID to read the Book of Revelation? Because they're afraid that they will fall out of love with the world and they want to keep on loving the world. So are you ready to fall out of love with this world and into love with Jesus? Let's start with this painting by Leonardo da Vinci. It's called In Latin, Salvator Mundi in English, we would call it Savior of the World. We've got to get back to the original and see Jesus as he really is. That's why the Book of Revelation is filled with pictures of Jesus that get us through the difficult times. So when I'm reading about the Dragon in the Book of Revelation, what gets me through those difficult passages? I remember Jesus, the radiant Son of Man who's described here in this book. His head and hair were white, like, well as white as snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. What is this picture of Jesus do? When the sun comes out, the dragon leaves the room.

He would live his retirement watching the Babylonians invade. He climbed up to the city wall for a new perspective. November 04, 2020 POST ELECTION SPECIAL--COME FASTER JESUS (S4 E2) Revelation 3:14-22
Are you saying “Come faster Lord Jesus?” The question is this: do you want to see Jesus as much as Jesus wants to see you? Churches today are living for something else other than the second coming of Jesus. It was also a problem in the first century. The Book of Revelation is the letters of Revelation written to seven specific churches. Each one of these churches was living for something else other than the second return of Jesus. These were second and third generation Christians who had begun to lose their flame of passion for Christ. As a result, they weren't looking forward to Jesus coming back again. By the end of the Letter of Revelation, they are saying with the Holy Spirit: "Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus." (Revelation 22:20) Jesus wants to take you and I in the 21st century church on the very same journey to get over being heaven proof till we say come quickly. Lord Jesus. There's a repeated line in the seven letters where Jesus says “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 2:29) Why does Jesus repeat that seven times? The answer is in the very last chapter of Revelation, where "the Spirit and the bride say Come." (Revelation 22:17).

It's Election Day 2020. Maybe like Jonah, you are thinking, God get me outta here! Do not give up on our city. God loves this city. For God to be present in our city, the church must be present. What happens in America tomorrow depends upon what the church will do today. Jonah 1:1-2. "The word of the Lord came to Jonah, the son of Amittai saying, arise and go to Nineveh, the great city, and cry against it, for their wickedness has come before me. But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord." Do you love our city enough as a church to show up like Jonah did not?
