Julie and Kate continue the monthly theme (or "workaround") for November. A workaround is an unconscious behaviour that have as a result of our negative or limiting beliefs. This month's theme is “People Pleasing”, and this week they examine it as a workaround for the negative belief of feeling “Not Good Enough”.
This week:
💫 Kate mentions the Scots word “midden” which means dungheap. (Other Scots words for dirty/smelly: maukit, bowfin, boggin, clatty, clarty, minging etc.) A midden can be either a dirty person, a dump, or where the bins are behind tenement flats. Kate says “dirty midden” but realises the correct Scots is “clarty midden”. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=midden
💫 Kate mentions journalist and author Kaitlin Moran, the excerpt she uses was from the book “Mornathology”. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caitlin_Moran
💫 Kate mentions “On Our Best Behaviour: the Seven Deadly Sins and the Price Woman Pay to be Good” by Elise Loehnen (https://www.eliseloehnen.com); Julie is also a big fan of her podcast “Pulling The Thread with Elise Loehnen”
💫 Kate mentions the “The Goop Lab”, a series on Netflix with Gwyneth Paltrow. (I think the episode was “The Pleasure is Ours”…) https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/80244690
