There is in the Bible a description of the life of a believer. Many times our lives come short of that and we live as we did before we were saved. This is what we call backsliding. When we were lost we did many ungodly things, but consider that as a lost person there were many righteous things that we omitted from our lives. When we as Christians omit the things of the Christian life, we are indeed back-slidden.

Many times we get in trouble as Christians because we are not thoughtful in regards to what we are doing to our own futures. What will sin cost us in our own future and in the future of those with whom we interact. The wages of sin is still death.
