"With me in charge," he told her, "my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. 9 No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?" 10 And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her. 11 One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside. 12 She caught him by his cloak and said, "Come to bed with me!" Then we'll see what comes of his dreams." 21 When Reuben heard this, he tried to rescue him from their hands. "Let's not take his life," he said. 22 "Don't shed any blood. Throw him into this cistern here in the desert, but don't lay a hand on him." Reuben said this to rescue him from them and take him back to his father. (NIV)

filled the house where they were sitting.  3  Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire
appeared and settled on each of them.  4  And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and
began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.” (NLT)

Ephesians 4:14-15 “Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and
blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick
us with lies so clever, they sound like the truth. 15. Instead, we will speak the truth in love,
growing in every way MORE and MORE like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church
    (NLT)

    Jesus wants to do more!

I see a youth movement where scripture Engagement is a priority.

Discover their Purpose, and Make a Difference.

2 Peter 1:12-15 “So, I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and
are firmly established in the truth you have.13 I think it is right to refresh your memory as I live
in the tent of this body, 14 because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ
has made it clear to me. 15 And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will
always be able to remember these things.” (NIV)

Luke 10:25–37 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I
do to inherit eternal life?” 26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” 27 He answered, “
‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your
mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” 28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and
you will live.” 29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 In reply
Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped
him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the
same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the
place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and
when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine.
Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out
two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you
for any extra expense you may have.’ 36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell
into the hands of robbers?” 37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him,
    “Go and do likewise.” (NIV)

  • We Are A Place That Celebrates Diversity | Herbert Cooper - Audio
Acts 15:1–2 Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the believers: “Unless you
are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.” 2 This brought Paul and
Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some
other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question. (NIV)

    4 Reasons We Celebrate Diversity

    1. We celebrate diversity because God celebrates diversity in His Church

Acts 15:7 After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: “Brothers, you know that some time
ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel
    and believe. (NIV)

Acts 11:17–18 So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who
was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?” 18  When they heard this, they had no further objections
and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.” (NIV)

    2. We celebrate diversity because God’s heart is for us to be one

Acts 15:8–9 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to
them, just as he did to us. 9  He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by
    faith. (NIV)

John 17:21–23 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also
be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you
gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought
to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have
    loved me. (NIV)

Romans 12:5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
    (NIV)

Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were
called to peace. And be thankful. (NIV)

Ephesians 4:4   There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were
    called; (NIV)

    1. We celebrate the different generations

    2. We celebrate the different races and cultures

Galatians 3:26–28 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were
baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither
slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

    3. We celebrate the different gifts

1 Corinthians 12:4–5 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5  There are
different kinds of service, but the same Lord. (NIV)

    3. We celebrate diversity because it shows we have the love of God in our hearts

1 John 2:9–10 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister  is still in the darkness.
10  Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make
    them stumble. (NIV)

1 John 4:20   Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not
love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. (NIV)

John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (NIV)

    4. We celebrate diversity because it builds bridges and tears down walls

Acts 15:19 “It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are
    turning to God. (NIV)

(NIV)

Luke 15:8-10 "Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the
house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors
together and says, "Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin." 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is
rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (NIV)

What Must We Do The Next 20 Years To See More Changed Lives

    1. We are a place that must care about the one

    2. We must be committed to going after the one

1 Corinthians 9:22–23   To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people
so that by all possible means I might save some. 23  I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. (NIV)
