Psalm 35 is one of the imprecatory psalms — a psalm that wishes a curse upon one's enemies. David does not take vengeance into his own hands - he brings injustice, grief, and outrage before the Lord, trusting that God is the Righteous Judge. Ultimately, this psalm points us to Jesus, who bore the curse we deserved, conquered death, and will bring perfect justice in the end.

Psalm 132 is presented as both a Psalm of Ascent and a Royal Psalm. It poetically retells David's desire to build God a house, the ark's movement toward Zion, and God's covenant promise to establish David an everlasting house. God chose Zion as His dwelling place and promises a day when the true Son of David would reign as the eternal King over His people.

It reveals the Lord as the Shepherd who protects, guides, restores, carries, and provides for His sheep, and as the gracious Host who honors His people with abundant mercy and eternal fellowship. Ultimately, it points forward to Jesus, the Good Shepherd and Lamb, who lays down His life for the sheep and invites all who will come to the greater feast of His kingdom.
