Longing, a deep and persistent desire or yearning, is a theme that resonates throughout the Bible. It reflects the human condition and the innate desire for connection with God, fulfillment, and the realization of divine promises.

epithymia - desire, craving, longing, desire for what is forbidden, lust

1. Lust of the Flesh

* sarx (sarks) = flesh, fallen human nature, appetites disconnected from God
