Making Light: Two Humans Being. In this episode, Julie and Kate introduce a new theme (or "workaround") for December. This month's theme is Perfectionism, and this week they examine how we try to be perfect in order to be Loveable.
Welcome to our themes in Making Light: Two Humans Being! Each week we'll explore the theme in the context of each negative belief. There are 4 main negative beliefs we recognise in Soul Level Intuitive Coaching®, Unloveable, Not Worthy, Not Good Enough and Not Safe Supported and Protected. Workarounds are the behaviours we put in place to protect ourselves from pain of these negative beliefs. While some workarounds may be useful, most of them hold us back and stop us living a fulfilled life. Recognising your workarounds and identifying the negative belief behind it loosens the grip of the belief.
This week:
💫 Mary Katherine Gallagher is a fictional character invented and portrayed by Saturday Night Live cast member Molly Shannon from 1995 to 2001: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY2bBzz5kwc
💫 Julie says “we need to loosen the bone, Wilma” a reference to the Flintstones: Wilma has a bone in her hair, and it’s too tight! https://grief2beautifulsorrow.blog/2020/07/30/badassery-7-30/
💫 Julie’s mentions Elise Loehnen’s (https://www.eliseloehnen.com) podcast “Pulling The Thread with Elise Loehnen”. She’s also the author of our favourite book: “On Our Best Behaviour: the Seven Deadly Sins and the Price Woman Pay to be Good” by Elise Loehnen.
💫 The episode Julie mentions is about Mark Horn, a Kabbalah academic who also reads Tarot: https://www.eliseloehnen.com/episodes/mark-horn
💫 Kate talks about the book “The Bothers Karamazov” by Dostoevsky, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Brothers_Karamazov, and it’s reviews on Audible: https://www.audible.co.uk/pd/The-Brothers-Karamazov-Audiobook/0241533228#customer-reviews. They are much more balanced now, when I read it they were all amazing reviews. Seems the narration is getting criticism…. I, quite simply, couldn’t understand any of it!
💫 Kate talks about Abraham Hicks, a non-physical collection of beings channelled through Esther Hicks: https://www.abraham-hicks.com/about/. Kate paraphrases what they were saying thus: “you are loved not because you are lovable but because we are love”.
