Ashley and I discuss how the journey to becoming an executive is sometimes a lonely one. THIS is precisely the reason I created Proximity Leadership Network, so women can feel just a little less alone while they're building the careers and the lives they deserve. Listen as we speak candidly about our journeys.

Patty Sisson, the owner of Vermillion, a marketing and communications company, walks us through her decision to leave a high-powered, highly lucrative corporate career to start her own business over 20 years ago. As many of you already know, I'm in the process of doing the same now, so I was so grateful that Patty was willing to share her learnings.
Patty's spilling the tea on the bullying and harassment she encountered in the corporate world, as well as sharing stories about how some candid feedback from trusted mentors changed her career trajectory forever. Patty also tells us a great story about the minute her mindset changed on what mentorship looks like.
Stick around to the end, because she's giving out some great nuggets of advice for women building their careers today.
I'm honored that Patty took this time to sit down with me and share her career journey with my community in the hopes that we can make even one person feel a little less alone on theirs.

Welcome to Perfectly Imperfect, where me and my corporate besties take a look at what it's ACTUALLY like to be a professional woman today. We cover the ups and downs and everything in between. We might look like we got it all together at the office, but we're just your run-of-the-mill, everyday, average women JUST LIKE YOU. And if we can do it, so can you. Whether you're trying to climb that corporate ladder, or you're just trying not to give up and quit, I'm sure you'll find someone here you can relate to. Who knows, you might even feel like we're inside your head right now. Whatever stage of your journey you're on, just know you're not alone. We see you. We hear you. We understand you. Because we ARE you! Reach out to me if you want to share your story on a future episode of Perfectly Imperfect.
