In Luke 23, Jesus, the Son of Man, who was 100% God and 100% human offered Himself at the Cross for each and every one of us. He did it all just hoping we would choose to repent and humbly surrender to His offer as Lord and Savior of our lives. Pilate and Herod found no reason for Jesus to be crucified. They found Him innocent. The crowd won and they ultimately gave Him up to be crucified in a crushing death, for each of us. Barabbas means "son of the Father". We are Barabbas. Barabbas was set free because Jesus was crucified. Because of the sacrifice of Jesus, we are sons and daughters of the Father, if we surrender to His gift of salvation. Jesus won't force Himself on anyone. It's up to us to choose to repent and look to Jesus every single day. It's up to us to give Jesus every last "Yes" and worship Him with all our guts and every last breath.

In Luke 22, Jesus ate His final meal with His disciples. Communion is a form of worship and remembrance of Jesus' sacrificial' life. The Bread and Cup is the antidote to the sin issue because Jesus Himself is the Bread and Cup. Jesus gave it all so we could have the option to receive Him and the life that He offers now and for all eternity. As we unite and take communion together, remembering all that Christ Jesus has done for us. We are called to participate in how Jesus lived His life on the earth by living out His Word in our daily lives. We are asked to proclaim his death and offer of salvation to the ends of the earth, glorifying His great Name, until He returns. He is returning sooner today than yesterday. It's up to us to bend the knee and humbly proclaim, "Yes, Lord, Your will be done - not my own."

(1 Corinthians 13; Galatians 5:16-26)God's love is faithful, loyal, sacrificial, and unconditional. It is the Lord's mercy, faithfulness, goodness, and steadfast never-ending love. It's the love that intervenes on behalf of us and comes to our rescue. Love is not a feeling or emotion, it's an intentional action. You'll never truly know what love is if you don't truly know WHO love is.

In Luke 21, Jesus warns His disciples and us today through His Scriptures, to stay alert, be ready, be on guard, and watch for the signs of His return. Do not be caught off guard or surprised. He wants our minds to be ready and not dulled from drunkenness, worries, or distractions. The enemy wants us distracted, unaware, and fearful. The phones in our pockets and purses make it easier than ever for him to accomplish his schemes to pull our attention away from Jesus. We need to have guards and protect our attention. We need to stay laser focused on Jesus and stay on task for His mission of spreading His offer of salvation to the ends of the earth. Every day we need to pray, meditate on God's Word, and abide in His presence. We glory God's great Name and spread His Gospel by glorifying Him in what we do every day no matter what it is. When we live desperate for Jesus because we truly love Jesus, the world around us will notice. Jesus is returning, sooner today than yesterday, and He calls us to be ready, alert, aware, and keep falling more and more in love with Him in the wait.

In Luke 20, the scribes, chief priests, and religious leaders wanted to get rid of Jesus so they asked Him many questions trying to trap Him. Jesus discerned their craftiness in their questions and was slow to speak, using great wisdom when answering them. He answered so well, they no longer dared to ask Him anything. The enemy will try to send people our way to try to shake our faith in Jesus. Through the power of the Holy Spirit within us and the Word of God He's given us, we are filled with and have access to divine wisdom for every situation that may come. Jesus is alive and we have His living power within us, His Kingship and authority. He is the King of Righteousness and we live and walk in Him and His authority. The enemy is defeated, the race has already been won. It's up to us to choose to keep going, keep growing, keep pursuing Jesus, and keep pointing others to Him. We don't have to go fast, the victory has been won. We just have to get up and go where Jesus leads, trusting Him and falling more and more in love with Him in every stride.

In Luke 19, Jesus was traveling through Jericho and a rich and very hated tax collector named Zacchaeus climbed up a tree so he could see Jesus. Zacchaeus was a sinner who was desperate for Jesus. He had desperate faith and came to radical repentance. He invited Jesus into his home, his life, and his heart. As a result, his life changed for eternity. He welcomed Jesus joyfully and eagerly. He wanted Jesus - desperately - more than anything and everything. We aren't called to live a religious game of life, we are called to live desperate for Jesus, spending time with Him, and radiating His glory to the world around us as we do.

In Luke 18, Jesus tells a parable of a persistent widow who kept asking a non-caring, non-Christ following judge for justice. He finally gets so annoyed with the woman that he gives her justice. The Lord tells us to pray without ceasing. He wants to hear from us. He hears every prayer. Unlike this uncaring judge, He loves us beyond comprehension. He wants good things for us. If this uncaring judge answered this widow, how much more will our Father, who loves us with never-ending, immeasurable love, answer our prayers. He asked the blind beggar what He wanted him to do for him. Jesus wants to hear from us. He wants a relationship. He will answer in the way that is best for us and for the best eternal outcome for us and those around us. He has been in every tomorrow. There is no one better to trust than our Almighty Glorious Father.

Everyone is good enough for Jesus and He wants everyone to come to Him with humble, repentant hearts - just as we are. There are no human requirements for salvation. The only requirement on our part is to surrender to Jesus as we are, heart and soul, knowing He truly is the one and only Lord of all. It's faith alone that does it all because Jesus did it all. It is finished.

In Luke 17, Jesus taught about what it looks like to truly forgive. If we repent, we are forgiven. Jesus already paid the price and His Blood covers all. In the same way, when someone repents to us, we need to forgive. Jesus died on the cross reuniting our broken relationship to the Lord. When we choose to repent and surrender to Jesus, heart and soul, we are a part of His Kingdom instantaneously. We are citizens of His Eternal Kingdom. We can experience His love, His presence, His wholeness, His goodness, all that He wants to pour out for us now - and for eternity. He desperately wants us to choose Him and all that He offers for Life - now, and for all eternity too.

In Luke 16, a rich man who lived his life selfishly, pridefully, and greedily died and found himself in hell. A poor man, who lived simply trusting the Lord through every outcome, died and found himself in heaven. Even while suffering in hell, the rich selfish man wanted the poor man to serve him. Jesus desires every person on the face of the earth to repent and humbly surrender to Him, heart and soul. He wants every soul on the face of the earth to experience His goodness, kindness, wholeness, and overwhelming love no, and for all eternity. The choice is ours to make. Jesus died a crushing death on the cross for each of us, just hoping desperately that we'd each choose Him and the Life He offers.
