Hard times are a part of life, but that doesn't mean they have to define our lives.We've all had spiritual experiences where the Lord has whispered peace to our hearts telling us everything would be alright.Admittedly, it's hard to remember those moments when we feel crushed by our current circumstances.Even so, we need to remember that he told us everything will be okay...and it will.Let's talk more about it!

Are you feeling isolated?Since the pandemic it's gotten even easier to distance ourselves from the people around us.We do everything online, and that keeps us from interacting like we used to.I was talking to a friend yesterday about some problems she's having, and I had a string impression about the need for our connections.Let's talk about it!

I've discovered that as much of a pain as my teenagers are, I was every bit as difficult.It's funny all the times my mom told me she knew I was lying to her, or that she understood what I was feeling, and I was like, 'Duh, Mom, you have no idea what it's like to have a boy not want to go to the dance with you!'Now I fully understand. But what can I do to love my teenagers and help them draw closer to God during this time in their lives?Let's talk about it!

I know kids love summertime, but as a mom, it's definitely not my favorite.

I feel like I become nothing more than entertainments for my children and it drives me crazy!

But how do we turn belief into unshakable faith?

What do we need to do to confirm our faith and lead others to joy and light?

Right now so many of us watch friends and family turn their back on belief and take a different path.

That is always their choice, and we love them no matter what.

So what do we do to keep our faith burning bright?

You would think for a woman who had eight children, I would love kids, babies, and all of that.

I don't.

Just ask my nieces and nephews.

Despite that fact, I have grown to understand my kids despite my limitations as a mother.

Their individuality has challenged me pretty much from day-one, but at least now I have a bit of perspective.

Our homes are central to our spiritual and physical existence.

That being the case, I feel pretty strongly that the Lord guides us to where we need to live...if we're willing to listen.

I've seen this in my own life.

Opportunities to serve and be served are a direct result of where we live. The love we feel in our homes shapes our entire world.

And our Heavenly Father certainly cares about that.

Let me tell you what I've experienced...

Yes, today I had a dreaded moment that I never thought would happen to me...

I ruined the laundry. With bleach.

Now, unlike cooking, I rock at laundry.

It didn't matter today as shirts and towels looked like rejects from a Bon Jovi concert circa 1987.

but, like all my mistakes, it got me thinking about life on a deeper level, and how even when we do things the exact way we've always done them, things can still go sideways on us.

We wait through difficult times.

We wait for relief.

We wait for prayers to be answered.

Are we really waiting without answers though?

I've been thinking about this lately and I don't think we're as alone during our trials as we often think.

You can find studies online that will back up pretty much every idea imaginable.

So where do we turn for truth?

How do we train ourselves to look to God while also putting out more effort to find and discern the truth?
