Today on the podcast I am having a very encouraging conversation with my good friend, Peter Thomas, who is the director of Capernwray Australia. Let me share a little bit of who Peter is...
Having grown up at Capernwray Hall (Torchbearers), England, Peter trained as a school teacher and taught in North Wales before joining staff at Capernwray Hall and then not long after joined staff with Capernwray in New Zealand. After 25 years leading the ministry in NZ he and his wife Elizabeth to Australia at the end of 2013 to lead the Capernwray Australia work based near Moss Vale, NSW. They have two children now grown up – Callum (who is married to Jazlyn) and Alexandra (a trainee nurse) – both love the Lord and serve in ministry in various ways.As well as his education degree, Peter has a Bachelor of Divinity and a Master of Theological Studies degree and preaches and speaks in a number of churches and conferences, as well as his main responsibility as National Director for Capernwray Australia and Principal of the Bible School.
Peter is on the Board of MECO (Middle East Christian Outreach) Australia and has a deep interest in the history and current issues happening in the Middle East.
His passion is teaching the timeless truths of Christ’s life through the Word of God and relating that teaching to the everyday world. He is still keen on all sports and used to play soccer, and squash to a reasonable standard – he says the older he gets the better he was! He loves books and reads widely (both Christian and non-Christian material). Another obsession is coffee and his typical day starts with a personally ground and brewed espresso coffee.

The reality is that this time of year often the time that is meant to be spent rejuvenating us and making us feel refreshed makes us feel drained before we are supposed to jump back into life.
