Part four of A MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE IN A BOTTLE - and the last part - for now. When I asked the random number generator for a number - for how many episodes this embedded mini series should be it said 5 - I have written 4 and this feels correct in this moment - let's see how the fifth episodes appears.

This part hears the reading of the revised version - playing with the idea that stories that we tell need not be fixed. I cut up the entire first version - and without introducing any new words, made a new tale. Here it is -

An invitation into the first version of the story written - "A tidal eclipse of the heart" inspired by the message in a bottle in a bottle gift. The story was written by the ocean, across two days, no pruning - Words landing on the page exactly as they flowed out. The story follows the waxing and waning energies of the Moon - is about tides, ebbs and flow, rhythms and cycles - and a type of love that feels tidal.

This episode follows on from Ep.3 and delves into synchronicity,

'in-time-together' moments and how these feel - what they communicate to us. How shared thoughts pass between people that are at a great physical distance and the magic of this.

This episode tells the story of the the giving of the gifted bottle and reveals some of the intimacies and feelings that were a part of the story writing process.

A fall into and over the shapes that words find on a page, and the capacity that old words have to be able to sing to us as relevantly now as when they were composed. This episode touches on the story of Persephone and Hades and explores a little, the balance finding between correlated opposites. Dipping into cycles of birth and decline, symbolism of fertility through story telling, the keeping of order through music - Rilke's Sonnet's to Orpheus and snippets from Han Kang's book 'Vegetarian' all feature in this episode.

A story about moving countries - the wrench and the balms. A meeting of a serendipitous order - and all of the beauty that this brought. A meeting of minds and a reminder to trust in the signals that our body - especially our heart, afford us. To follow our curiosities, obsession's and our hearts even when we do not know why we are being pulled in a particular way at a given moment - but to fall into a position of trust in the rightness or wrongness of how something feels. Out the window flies logic.
