In this episode we bring you a charla with la Mr. Jordy Rios, a 4th grade bilingual math teacher in his third year teaching. He’s a graduate from Sam Houston State University who loves integrating technology to help EL students to prepare for the 21st century. Jordy is a proud Olesen Owl was voted Rookie Teacher of the Year 2019-2020 and is certified in many platforms such as Flipgrid, Screencastify and Google level 1 certified.
Our hope and vision for our podcast is to elevate the voices and needs of educators and students, especially those voices which are often silenced or overlooked. Jordy’s work aligns with LatinXChange in that she strives to support Latinx and Multilingual student’s use of technology and receive support necessary to prepare them for their future.
