Personal Finance Show: A Boris bounce for the long term?

Listen Later

After years in the doldrums, both sterling and domestic-facing UK equities have made large gains on the back of a successful general election for the Conservatives. But is it plain sailing from now on? Victoria Hasler, director for research and consulting at Square Mile, discusses what a long road to Brexit might mean for investors.

She and deputy personal finance editor Dave Baxter talk about whether the open-ended UK property funds, which have been struggling with Brexit-related uncertainty, are due a reprieve. They also look at what the future might hold for bond investors after a healthy 2019.

Investors' Chronicle has supported private investors in the UK for over 160 years by highlighting rewarding investment opportunities.
