This episode was developed because of a recent communion experience at a local church. It wasn't the only occurrence in recent times that this podcaster found a church rushing through the Lord's Supper without giving the congregation time to reflect prior to partaking, or even taking time to explain its significance and who may take the bread and the wine/grape juice. As a result, it was time to take consideration of this matter and examine communion's meaning and how churches to day seem to violate its meaning in their handling of this ordinance/sacrament before their congregations. This podcast will examine what Scripture has to say about communion from 1 Corinthians 11:23-34. This is a topic that needs attention because as in many ways our churches are failing here, and I think our errors in judgment on the important of the proper practice of the Lord's Supper is one of the signifiant reasons why many feel unfulfilled in their churches today.
