"He Used Porn to Desensitize Me" Hannah Blair Sex Trafficking Survivor to Survivor Leader
Hannah holds a BA in Sociology and will graduate in May with an MA in Social Justice and Human Rights. She is a board member for two anti-trafficking organizations, has held leadership positions within numerous nonprofits, and serves as a survivor consultant for Polaris Project and DHS's Blue Campaign.
She is a member of the National Survivor Alliance, the Global Association of Human Trafficking Scholars, and HEAL Trafficking, a community of multidisciplinary professionals working in the intersection of human trafficking and health care. She interned for The Nexus Working Group on Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation and The Dressember Foundation.
She has partnered with other organizations to brief local, state, and federal agencies about trafficking from a survivor’s perspective, including the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Marshalls, and the FBI. Recipient of The Elie Wiesel Foundation’s National Prize in Ethics and Van Cleave Law’s “Striving for Justice” award. My most recent research project, titled “Survivors at the Core: The Effectiveness of Anti-Trafficking Organizations Who Place Survivors in Leadership Positions,” was invited for presentation at the Himalayan Policy Research Conference.
