Although for Michael, it's more than just a podcast, it's a way of connecting with others in a real genuine way. Michael Johnson is originally from England and currently lives in Alberta, Canada. Everyone at some point has had to face a bully. Whether that be in school or even in life, bullies are just a part of life. Growing up it was difficult to confront out bullies head-on due to the fear and humiliation that could follow. In this episode, I talk about how you can better understand and learn to get over the deep feelings you may hold still, consciously, or sub-consciously toward that person. 

In this episode, I express how having compassion for those who are and do bully is extremely important. Too often do we end up getting dragged down by people who are struggling so much that the only thing that they can resort to is bullying. When we begin to take the time to really learn and evaluate a bullies' life, that is when we will walk confidently and with a better perspective on bullies.

Oh the places you went

When it comes to internships and your major in the university there's a lot to consider. Internships are long and sometimes daunting, in this episode I talked with Amy Couture a student at Endicott in Beverly Massachusetts on her experience while in California.  We go into depth on Amy’s semester in Australia and talk about everything she enjoyed and all the new experiences she had because of it. Amy also gives advice on things to know about Australia and what it's like to study abroad. Debunking preconceived notions

Community College is an admirable way to pursue higher education. 

In this episode, I sit down with Elijah Jenkins, a student who attends Northwestern Connecticut Community College (NCCC), and talk about everything under the sun relating to community college. In this episode, Eli and I debunk some common confusion relating to community college, the pros and cons of attending, and some of the overall long term benefits. Eli has the first-hand experience with everything from applying to the community to becoming an active member of his college’s community. This episode is great in comparison to last week's episode with my guest Carly and 4-year university.

Moving from high school to college is a big stepping stone in life. For those who decide to go there are lots of emotions and thoughts. There are thoughts of excitement and joy but also worry and a sliver of fear to jump into the next part of life. For Carly Mastrangelo it was all the above but is now thriving at The University of Connecticut (UCONN). In this episode Carly and I discuss her experience of transitioning from high school to college and how she is doing now. It is OFFICIAL! 

This is the first episode of Perspective of the People or the POP Podcast. I am so excited to share with you this intro episode! With this episode I wanted you the listener to get a sense of who I am as a host. I talk about my background and reasons as to why I wanted to start this podcast. I then go into details on how this podcast will be structured and begin to name drop some of the guests that will be on the first season. Also for the record, I will be releasing twelve episodes a season not ten as mentioned in the podcast. I decided that I wanted to release an episode each week for three consecutive months.
