Tatenda’s research interests are in health systems strengthening, particularly through health quality improvement in low-resource settings. Her goal is to work in health systems across Africa, supporting efforts towards equitable access and provision of care, particularly in often marginalized rural communities.

Esias Bedingar is a PhD Student at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and has been involved in many student organizations during his time there. One of these organizations is the Africa Health Students Forum, where Esias served as the co-chair for their first conference to improve health resilience in Africa, the Africa Health Conference.

Dr.  Hugue  Nkoutchou  is  the founder  and  current Head of  the Public  Policy  in  Africa Initiative  (PPiAI).  He  is  an  Economic  Consultant  at  ABiQ  Business  Intelligence  DWC  –  LLC;  and  a political  and  economic  commentator  for  BBC  Africa, Africa 24 and Equinox TV (Equinox Soir) covering  Cameroon.  He  is  also  not  a  stranger  to the  teaching  fraternity,  he  served  as  a  teaching  fellow  for  Financial  Markets  and  teaching  assistant  for Corporate Finance and Investment Appraisal at the University of Bath School of Management. Hugue  Nkoutchou earned a  PhD  in  Management (Finance)  from  the  University  of  Bath  in England, 2017,  and  a  Masters  degree  in Financial  Management  from  the  University of  Johannesburg in  South  Africa.  

Our guest for this week is Adam Heritier Shebindu. Adam is from the D.R.Congo and he is studying and using engineering to build better health systems and hopes for his home country. Adam also founded Bora Technology, an independent firm of engineers and designers working to modernize Africa's technological industry.

Pratik is a global health policy enthusiast– a scientist, an entrepreneur and an unapologetic global justice fighter. Originally from Nepal, Pratik has worked with leaders from over two dozen countries, primarily on health justice and policy interventions. He is the Founder/ Director of Authentic Leadership Institute Nepal (ALIN) that focuses on research and policy interventions to mitigate health and economic disparities of marginalized communities in Nepal, and around the world. He has received several awards and recognition including recognition as an ‘Extraordinary Ability’ individual in global health and biomedical research by the US Immigration Services in 2015. He has been an invited speaker to events and conferences in Brazil,  South Africa, Switzerland, India, Nepal, and the US, including keynote speaker in Under30Changemakers Global Summit in 2015. Pratik has a Master of Public Health degree from University of California- Berkeley, and a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Central Michigan University. Pratik also serves as Director of the Accelerator Ventures in India, and as Senior Advisor for Growth and Leadership at the BP Eye Foundation in Nepal.

Originally from Cameroon, join us in learning about how Teguo Djoyum's background and life experiences informed some of his goals. Teguo is the founder of Global Organization of Health Education (GOHE) and he is also pursuing his doctoral studies at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health. Through his organization and studies, Teguo and his team aim to provide better diagnoses to patients with epilepsy.
