This week, Rev. Trudy and Rev. Brittany kick off a new series of discussions about “Imago Dei” – the Latin phrase that means in the image of God. Over the next several episodes, they’ll be exploring the common thread that weaves us all together, what it means to be made in God’s own image and celebrating seeing the Divine in everyone we encounter.
They start by looking at racial and cultural diversity – as inspired by Revelation 7:9-10 – the vision of people of all nations and tongues gathering in unity before God.
If you’re familiar with this Bible study podcast, then you won’t be surprised that Rev. Trudy and Rev. Brittany have a somewhat different take on the Book of Revelation than what is often seen in popular culture.
The women also discuss faith and politics, the often-capitalistic view of Heaven, actions we can take today to be better global citizens, and what we can do to help bring about the vision of unity that’s found in Revelation.
You’ll find this and other podcast episodes from First UMC San Diego give you something to talk about.
