In this special podcast we talk to Dion Leonard who met a little stray dog in the middle of the Gobi desert of China during a marathon race that changed his life forever. It is a heart warming story of love, tenderness, and an unbreakable bond that will last forever. A story that took the world by storm  in Dion’s efforts to bring the dog he named Gobi back to his home in the United Kingdom of Britain.

Leonard, a seasoned ultramarathon runner, crossed paths with a scrappy dog while competing in a 155-mile race through China’s Gobi Desert. The small, young dog, later named Gobi, went step for step with him for nearly 80 miles over the treacherous Tian Shan mountains, across massive sand dunes, through yurt villages, and the black sands of the Gobi Desert.

Gobi later went missing, but with the help of strangers and a viral outpouring of assistance on the internet, Leonard was able to reunite with the dog.

In 2015, Cy-Fair Animal Hospital opened its doors in Dr. Ross’ home city of Houston. “The Vet Life” chronicles the doctors’ juggling act running the full-service hospital and animal shelter while managing family lives filled with spouses, parents, in-laws, children, pets and friends.
