Pastor Doug takes us to the days following Pentecost and shows us what the Church looked like at that time. The early church was not simply a group of people following Jesus, but a way of life. Their lives were completely changed by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; and they were completely devoted to Him.

Pastor Dave tells us that the Resurrection of Jesus changes everything and that we are living in a new reality. We have a new hope because of Jesus and that new hope in Jesus is for everyone. There are no prerequisites! If you give your life away to Jesus, realizing He has given his life away for your, then your life will be raised up from the grave of sin, hopelessness, despair, lack of purpose, self-doubt, guilt, and anger. You can live in the NEW HOPE that Jesus has created by his Resurrection.

Pastor Dave concludes this series with the grand finale of the series on lament--The Lament of God. Why would the God of all Creation need to lament? Because of the presence of sin and death in creation, God is often found in Scripture to be lamenting the state of humanity. Things are not as God intended them to be.

Pastor Dave speaks about how Jeremiah watched the destruction of Jerusalem and faced his failure by railing against God. He poured out all his anger and anguish against God. Jeremiah found out that God is big enough to take on all our anger and pain. He will never change or leave us. God takes our failures and provides the peace that only He can give.

Pastor Dave speaks to us today about the search for intimacy, which is one of the most significant elements of the human experience. Using the life of King David he shows us that we were created for intimacy with God.

Pastor Dave speaks on lament as the path of worship. It is only in the wilderness seasons of life that we truly understand the deep presence of God with us. God suffers with his people. In Christ, that suffering led Jesus to leave the "garden" and come to the "wilderness" to walk the path of suffering and resurrection, so that we might do as he has done.

Pastor Dave speaks to us about sorrow and the fact that, in our culture, we have a problem with sorrow. It is easier to assume that it is someone else's problem rather than to feel sorrow and be broken and lament over what our hearts should really be naturally broken over. Spiritual lament is the heart-rending recognition that things are not as God intends them to be.

Pastor Dave speaks about being transformed by the renewing of our minds. When we become followers of Jesus, we should expect new creation--a Transformation of our hearts and lives. Believe in the strong and mighty power of the Resurrected Jesus to save and heal and restore and TRANSFORM you.

Pastor Doug speaks about pressing on. We are never too far from the will of God to get a fresh start. If we fail and go back to our bad habits and focus on ourself rather than our savior, we can still start over. Don't give up--press on. Turn your focus away from yourself and focus on Jesus Christ, who gave His all for you.
