Pete the Cat going downhill
We love Pete the Cat but it hasn't been the same without Eric Litwin. The writing in this particular book seemed especially bad. Too many different things going on and Pete saves the day by starting to play the guitar???
Good, but different than the others
Dinosaurs and Pete the Cat sound like a perfect mash-up for my toddlers (3 & 4), but this book deviates from the normal Pete the Cat formula. In that it doesn't have a sentence or two per page, but multiple sentences, and doesn't carry the repetitiveness that most Pete the Cat books exhibit (which I've found is wonderful for beginning readers).
However, the drawings and stickers were a huge hit, just a lot harder to keep the toddler attention span focused for reading these books.
All-in-all still good, just not great.
Only buy if they are dino lovers
The other reviews were right its not catchy like most pete the Cat but my son is obsessed with both so he still loved it. Only buy for dino lovers
Not really Pete the Cat
You can't change authors?! Who does that? Write a new series with a new title; this book is nothing like Pete the Cat. In fact, boring, the text is difficult to read for 1st graders (not in print but a semi script).
Great story!
Pete the Cat stores are always awesome. This one is no exception. My son just loves it!
