LIBER PONTIFICALIS SECTION MENTIONED:

http://www.thelatinlibrary.com/liberpontificalis1.html

From the Liber Pontificalis on Peter:

"Here he ordained two bishops, Linus and Cletus, who were to present all the priestly service in the city of Rome to the people or to those who came; and blessed Peter was busy in prayer and preaching, instructing the people. 4 He had many discussions with Simon Magus, both before Nero the emperor and before the people; as those whom the blessed Peter gathered to the faith of Christ, he separated them by means of magic and deception. And when they quarreled longer, Simon was slain by a divine nod. 5 He consecrated the blessed Clement as bishop, and entrusted him with the arrangement of the chair or the whole church, saying: "Just as the power of binding and loosing was entrusted to me by my Lord Jesus Christ to govern, so I also entrust to you as the orderer of the various causes by which the ecclesiastical act is carried out." and you are by no means found devoted to the cares of the world; but try to devote yourself only to prayer and preaching to the people."
