On Tuesday Petersfield Football club dropped a bombshell through social media that they were parting ways half way through the season with their overachieving manager Connor Hoare. This news rocked the Petersphere and just as the anger and confusion began to surface amongst the fans, all the players and coaching staff of the men's first team quit soon after. The board of directors came under fire as fans and players criticised the running of the club. The board decided to hold a meeting at the club on Friday to address fan concerns and inform them of the most immediate plans to tackle the crisis. On Monday 16 February at Churcher’s College, Petersfield Save the Children hold their annual fashion show (£10 entrance fee) and clothing sale (on the following two days), which raises thousands of pounds to relieve child poverty in the UK and abroad

They have been organising this show and sale since the 1960s and raise significant amounts from generous local people.

They are asking for your ’good as new’ clothing to sell there and share the sale proceeds 50:50.

They’re collecting at Churcher’s on Valentine’s Day, Saturday 14 February.

Buriton Pond has been cleared of silt and weeds. With the aid of a floating digger, it produced over 200 cubic metres of slit making it a healthier home for native species.

The slit has been used to create an island for wildlife.

The work funded by £35,000 of Government money from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
