It’s that time of year when the weeds start to make an appearance and The Petersfield Street Scene group are ready.

It’s all about keeping the public footpaths clean and tidy, without the use of pesticides.

Working alongside Norse, they chose the bridge on Tilmore Road as a pilot to test the scheme. Now it’s time to look to other locations.

Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones has unveiled more than £3 million in new funding for domestic abuse intervention, road safety enforcement and policing innovation.

This includes a new Roads Policing Team, offender support services and technology to tackle crime, improve frontline efficiency and protect communities.

Local man Keith Connors had a brain wave some time ago; why not have a nostalgic time in the clubs of the 80s, 90s and noughties, but during the day. And so Boogie Days was born.

Organiser and on-stage DJ Keith tells Mike Waddington all about it - it's the full dancing experience, from glow sticks to confetti cannons, from the bar to the wrist bands, and all the great tunes of the time.

It's on Saturday 30 May from 3pm till 8m and as they say, 'get the kids to pick you up'!

Peter and Nadia Stonnard launch their Page's Yard restaurant and wine bar, the Stables, on Wednesday 13 May. 

Paul having been a chef for 23 years takes the kitchen and Nadia will be front of house.

Talking to Mike Waddington, Peter said he had almost given up dreaming of a restaurant of their own;, then this came up.

The Stables is open lunch time and evenings, Wednesday to Sunday.

A true David versus Goliath football story unfolds at the West Leigh stadium on Friday as Petersfield the Rams take on Portchester in the Portsmouth Seniors cup final. Portchester are massive favourites going into the game as they play in the league above Petersfield and also finished in the play off spots in their season campaign. The Runny Honeys organised the ninth 5k on Sunday 10 May and 149 people of all ages ran for the cause on a blustery day, cheered on by families and supporters. 

Lots of enthusiasm from families running together as well as the veterans and beginners.

To tell us more we spoke to Charlotte Salvetti-Langton, Neurological Physiotherapist from event sponsors Body and Mind, Victoria Herdman and Sue Brown from the Runny Honeys, Rosemary and Maureen from Petersfield Stroke Support Group, some runners and at the end, veteran runner, the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Jamie Mathews.
