People living close to a proposed new Aldi store in Petersfield are worried that it could increase the amount of traffic near their homes.

A planning application is in for the proposed development on a brownfield site in Frenchman's Road. 

Tony Cannon of Rushes Road has started a petition and wants more thought given to the effects of traffic in streets like his.

He spoke to Shine Radio's Stephen Martin

In response, Aldi says: "Our planning application includes a detailed transport assessment and we have taken great care to ensure the impact of our proposals is minimised. Throughout the pre-application process, we developed our proposals alongside Hampshire County Council highways before submitting a planning application."
