Petersfield has a new Speedwatch scheme across the town.

A PeCAN may not be such a nutty idea. It's the proposed name for a Petersfield Climate Action Network.

Around thirty people discussed how one might be established in our town and what its benefits might be at a meeting on Monday. 

Town councillor John Palmer led the meeting to gauge the level of interest from the community. He represents the Green Party on the council and spoke to Petersfield Community Radio's Beth Svarovska.

The Town Council will vote on the proposal to support the establishment of PeCAN at its meeting on 6 March. If you wish to attend, the meeting is open to all local residents.
