Scott, Jon and Matt break down the Bucs' first preseason game of the season at home against the Bengals for episode 388. But first, they discuss the touching tribute that the Bucs' organization did for Mark Cook, which included saving a press box seat for him and decorating it with flowers, pictures, a Florida State mug and his infamous chef's hat from "What's Cooking?." They also held a moment of silence for Mark before the game and a video message on the board in the second quarter to honor him.
Please help Mark's family with bills and expenses by going to his GoFundMe page and contributing if you can. There is a link in the description in the Youtube video that will send you to the site to donate there.
For the game itself, there was a lot to take away on both positive and negative notes. The backups in the secondary were impressive, as was newcomer Gio Bernard and rookies Joe Tryon and Kyle Trask. There was a lot of sloppy tackling, some poor special teams play and a running game that stalled for most of the night. Along with analysis, they also highlight what they want to see next week in practice before their second preseason game. Hear it all on the Pewter Report Podcast, energized by CELSIUS.
